The Garmin Aera 500 aviation GPS full of exciting new features driven with an intuitive touchscreen.

The Garmin Aera 500 aviation GPS makes flying easy. Icon-driven, touch screen interface, featuring a 4.3 inch widescreen and single cable solution for power and music. For aviation, the Aera 500 combines a full colour moving map mode with controlled airspace boundaries shown and a built-in terrain alerting capability. User controllable on screen information including ground speed, altitude, ETA, ETE and more. The Aera 500 comes with street mapping of Australia and New Zealand and will speak street names for easy navigation.

Up to 50 flight plans, with 300 points in each, it also has an automatic flight log and auto time zone updating while navigating. Waterproof to IPX7 standards, with Bluetooth handsfree calling in automotive mode. The removable li-ion battery will last for up to 5 hours. The Aera 500 is supplied with a yoke mount, automotive friction mount, vehicle power cable, battery, USB cable, pilot's guide and quick start manual. Note : This GPS is an Australian configured unit not an American import version with a locked USA database.
